Are FINANCING awards delivered IN FILM Credits?
No. The projects and artists that the community decides are most deserving are awarded support in US dollar financing awards, network support and guidance opportunities for finalists are also available for all award rounds.
WHY DO I HAve to verify my identity? I don’t want to dox myself.
In order to validate that all votes are real human beings is important. We require KYC for all participants in the DCP App. Mitigating sybil attack vectors will help to build confidence in the fairness and reliability of the voting process. It is certainly a friction point for new users, however, the ability to validate that your content is resinating with a specific demographic is valuable. DCP does not keep any identifiable data on our servers.
Do I need to pay to participate in the voting process?
No. Voting is absolutely free. Artists and partners want to know what you think. In fact, you will earn FILMCredits by participating. If you have an idea that you’d like to submit for financing or support consideration, you will need FILMCredits to do so. This is by design. Submitters need your help so that they know that you want to see their projects made.
